Memories Old and New

This story had a lot of tense moments and memories for Celeste. What was she running from, what was she afraid of? Will the peacefulness of the mountains be the answer?
It also has a deep emotional feeling that draws you into it by the writers words. I have mixed feelings about how it made me feel, but the writing was good and I couldn't put it down.

Required for a class. Very poorly written book. Seems like the author wanted to try to use a lot of words and a lot of big words unnecessarily. Many times had to read a section multiple times to try to figure out what was being said. Book offered many case studies, but sometimes no definition or explanation of the concept. Book was incredibly overpriced for what you got. Pages were not glossy, nor was there color (things that normally justify a higher priced book).

Healthy food, fast, easy, and delicious

I bought this book for the vegetarian recipes, which were great. My family especially liked the veggie hummus wrap. I also liked the broccoli capstone, but personally, if leave out the mozzarella cheese as you cannot taste it and it will save you 80 calories. Great book.

I was a little surprised that this was just a recipe sampler - not actually a book. There were not that many recipes. If it was in the description I did not see it. I was also surprised that it seemed to rely on a lot of prepared grocery items like tortellini to make the dish. Not bad, just underwhelming.

Jes Baker is a positive, progressive, and magnificently irreverent force to be reckoned with in the realm of self-love advocacy and mental health.

Jes is internationally recognized for her writing on her blog, The Militant Baker, and for the “Attractive and Fat” campaign, a response to Abercrombie and Fitch’s controversial branding efforts. Her extensive body advocacy work has continued to garner attention from hundreds of national and international media networks.

Great Body Acceptance Book

This is a great body positive body love book. It's funny and really hits home. I seriously thought, "wow, I'm not the only one who thinks like that?" More than once. Her chapter on mental health is above and beyond good. Best line "Happy people don't try to purposely hurt other people." This book is also all inclusive, gay, straight, black white and inbetween.

This book is for everyone not just fat girls! It's for anyone who has ever felt self-conscious or doubted themselves.

I was hooked from the first page! Loved this book so much I purchased two more copies as gifts! Wonderfully written and a strong message.

I randomly discovered this book in a video for JC Penny. Jes exclaims "here's my book" and for a split second it showed the cover. I replayed and paused the video until I could see the title - and I am sure glad I did!

Not just for heavy girls..

I used to be overweight but have lost the weight and kept it off the last 5 years. I couldn't shake the "inner fat girl" as I like to refer to her. Basically no longer being physically overweight but very mentally and emotionally overweight. I'm positive 99.9% of women can relate to this book, overweight or not. Ditch your insecurities and live boldly is what I took away from this book and I suggest anyone struggling with any sort of self esteem issues read it.

About the Author

Shripad T. Revankar is a professor of nuclear engineering at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, and visiting professor at POSTECH, South Korea, in the Division of Advanced Nuclear Engineering. He received his MSc (1977), PhD (1983) in physics from Karnataka University, India, and M.Eng. (1982) in nuclear engineering from McMaster University Canada. He has published more than 300 refereed research papers in journal and conferences, is editor-in-chief of Frontier Energy-Nuclear Energy, serves on the editorial boards of eight international journals including Heat Transfer Engineering, ASME Journal of Fuel Cell Science and Technology, and is also an ASME Fellow and winner of several awards.

Pradip Majumdar is a professor and chair of mechanical engineering, and the director of the Heat and Mass Transfer Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois. He received his BS degree (1975) in mechanical engineering from B.E College, University of Calcutta, and MS (1980) and PhD (1986) degrees in mechanical engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. He has worked on a number of federal and industrial research projects and published over 100 refereed research papers in archival journals and conference proceedings. He serves as the editor-in-chief of the Transactions of Fluid Mechanics, International Journal.
