A truly great book for all ages!

I bought volume one for my nieces and nephews and they absolutely love it so I was so excited when the second book came out! As soon as volume two came out I bought it and sent it to them. They are so happy with it! One of the many reasons this book is so great is that it is for many ages. My 2 year old nephew sits and "reads" the pictures, my 4 year old niece reads the letters and pictures and the older Nieces and nephews can read the story on their own and still gain from the middos in the book even if they already know the aleph bais. They are already asking me for the next book!!! The stories are so great and also adaptable to all ages. A truly age appropriate book for many ages. I am a special education teacher and when I saw the great values, lessons, and educational value this book has it was the perfect choice!

After anxiously waiting for volume 2 since we finished every story in volume 1, this book did not disappoint. We gave this book to our daughter on the first night of chanukah, 2 and a half weeks ago, and it is still by far the most popular book in our library. Our daughter asks us to read us the stories every single night, and is quickly learning the second half of the Alef Beis. She is more than thrilled to point to the girl with the same name as hers. The stories are funny, interesting, educational, and with a good message. (And tonight, when we couldn't find the book, she requested to read volume 1, which we couldn't do because my 2 year old has taken it as his own and was busy "reading it"). These are stories which can be (and are) read again and again, and are enjoyable for both kids of all ages, and the grown ups who are reading to them!

Best alef bais book ever!!!

After reading volume 1 almost every night, my kids have been begging to get volume 2 and they can't get enough of ziggawat! My 4 year old now knows his Alef bais and my 3 year old knows it too :) really fun stories, kids learn their letters while learning great middos and enjoying funny bedtime stories with great picturea all at the same time! As a special education teacher and speech therapist I have also 'borrowed' this book from my kids and have used it with my students who did not know the Alef bais and now know them just from reading this book! Amazing!!! We love ziggawat!! Thank you! :)

About the Author
Kathleen P. Munley, PhD, is a local historian and longtime professor of history at Marywood University, Scranton, Pennsylvania, where she teaches a variety of courses on American history and served on many elected and appointed academic committees. She developed and directed a legal studies program at the university that included an American Bar Association–approved legal assistant major. A lifelong resident of the region, Munley has been associated with many local community organizations and volunteer activities.

Paul R. Mazzoni, JD, has been a practicing attorney in Lackawanna County for over fifty-two years and served the county as its district attorney for two terms, from 1970 to 1978. As district attorney, Mazzoni was the chief prosecutor in the Commonwealth v. William J. Wright. Mazzoni continues to practice law with the firm Mazzoni, Karam, Petorak, and Valvano in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Mazzoni is a longstanding member and former president of the Lackawanna Bar Association and a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Active in community life in the region, Mazzoni was appointed by President Dwight D. Eisenhower to serve as director of the Census for the Tenth Congressional District.

I really enjoyed the book

I really enjoyed the book. The authors were factual and gave a vivid heartfelt viewpoint on the way the murders affected the community. I wish Dr. Munley had an opportunity to interview my dad (Paul Farrell, District Supervisor for the Board of Probation and Parole). I think he would have shed more light on the reasons for Wright's release from Farview and just who supported that decision.

This is a great manufacturing love story in which Toyota, an automaker clearly in love with its product, decides to go after the U.S. luxury car buyer, a suitor who has repeatedly ignored its advances. To get America's attention, Toyota must first re-invent itself. It must make itself more handsome (through better styling), improve its physique (be faster, stronger and need less maintenance) and prove its financial management skill (by selling great cars for less). Because time is fleeting and the buyer has many other suitors (Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, Nissan, Volvo), Toyota must work fast before its intended lover makes an irrevocable decision and buys someone else's car. Like some other love stories, this is repetitive and suffers from some plain old sloppy editing. But it makes you want to test-drive a Lexus to see what causes such a sensation. We recommend this book to CEOs and sales and marketing executives who dream of producing revolutionary, successful products for the global marketplace. And who would mind getting a little consumer love?

Saves hours of frustration

I am so pleased that I finally bought this book- I should have purchased it at the beginning of the school year! I am now able to quickly check my child's answers and see that she is working the problems out as intended. Before I had the book, it would take me an hour to check homework by working each problem out myself (and still she would miss some). I strongly recommend this book if your child is struggling to understand the problems, or needs help converting the story text to mathematical equations.

A friend of mine suggested that I purchase the teacher's manual rather than stressing myself out trying to check my daughter's homework. His advice was the best thing ever. We are now able to check homework stress free and my daughter also has improved her grades because when she gets a problem wrong she is able to see how to correctly solve the problem. This manual is very easy to use and contains very clear explanations of the solutions to the problems.
